  • 1. Male player who has not registered with a GAA club for the previous 24 months
    2a. Ladies Football player who has never before registered with LGFA
    2b. Ladies Football player who has not played League or Championship for 3 years
    3. Camogie player who has not played a competitive game for the previous 24 months

2025 USGAA Key Registration Dates

The USGAA Player and Social Member registration system is now open! 
 
Our club affiliation AND 2025 Player Registration opens Jan 1st. 
 
Club affiliation is priority – the deadline for clubs to affiliate is January 31st!

This process is in SportsEngine this year (the same system players used to register last year) and is a really easy process. There is a video walkthrough available on the usgaa website, and do feel free to email me if you run into issues. 

If an organization has multiple clubs, please complete the process once for EACH club. The answers to the required questions should be reflective of the individual clubs. 

 
Jan 1st is 2025 Player Registration– the process for that is exactly the same as last year. Players will begin at the usgaa.org/registration page – find your club in the list and click to be taken directly to the registration for your club. The secondary info form IS required this year as well and MUST be completed to consider registration complete (i.e. by the appropriate deadline).
 
Please ensure your members are registering with the USGAA prior to any play this year! Thanks! 
 
A few items to note:
  • If your club link is not yet live, please ask your club secretary/registrar to reach out to the Divisional Registrar for help claiming the account. 
  • If you are a dual player, complete the entire process for your primary club first. Then, return to the club links and select your secondary club to complete the process again. The system will NOT charge you for the second, identical membership in another club.

TRANSFERS AND SANCTIONS MENS FOOTBALL AND HURLING ONLY 

New Transfer System: The GAA Foireann system will be replacing the Player Transfer System (PTS) as well as the existing Sanction process. The attached letter, from Christian Phillips, GAA Club Administration Coordinator, explains the changes well. Some important points to note:   

  • Foireann to be used for  
  • Inter-County Transfers  
  • Club to Club transfers across Divisions 
  • Sanctions: USGAA, New York, Canadian & J1  
  • The player initiates all the above processes. 
  • All USGAA Clubs are already in Foireann and clubs can access immediately
  • Accounts will be accessed with, and notifications sent to the official GAA club secretary email.  
  • Passwords can be set using the ‘forgot password’ prompt.  
  • The above is for Hurling and Men’s Football only – LGFA and Camogie will continue to use paper for now.
